Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 May 2026

These terms describe the agreement between you and Automate Support when you use our website, dashboard, chatbot widget, or any related service. By signing up or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. The service

Automate Support is a software-as-a-service platform that lets small business owners create, train, and embed AI chatbots on their websites. We provide the platform; you provide the content and the website to embed it on.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account.
  • One account per business. You may not share login credentials with people outside your organisation.
  • The information you provide at sign-up (email, business details) must be accurate. Notify us if it changes.

3. Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • Free plan — available without a credit card. Subject to the usage limits published on the pricing page.
  • Paid plans — billed monthly in advance via Stripe. Prices are in AUD and exclusive of GST; 10% GST is added at checkout for Australian customers.
  • Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Cancellation— you can cancel at any time from your account settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. We don't issue refunds for partial months.
  • Failed payment— if a payment fails, we'll retry a few times and email you. If it still fails after 14 days, your account is downgraded to the Free plan and excess data may be deleted.
  • Price changes— we'll give at least 30 days notice before changing prices for existing customers.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Automate Support to:

  • Train a chatbot on content you don't have the right to use (copyrighted material, scraped competitor sites, personal data collected without consent).
  • Build chatbots for illegal businesses, scams, phishing, or content that promotes hate, violence, or self-harm.
  • Spam, harass, or deceive end visitors who chat with the widget.
  • Generate medical, legal, or financial advice that we'd reasonably consider to require a licensed professional.
  • Probe, scan, or attempt to break our security; reverse-engineer our APIs; or use the service in a way designed to overload our infrastructure.
  • Resell the service or wrap it in your own product without a written reseller agreement.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules — we try to warn first, but reserve the right to act immediately on clearly abusive use.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you upload or have us crawl — website pages, FAQs, documents, and the conversations your chatbot has with visitors. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content for the purpose of running the chatbot for you. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account. We don't train shared AI models on your content. See the privacy policy for detail on data handling.

6. Our intellectual property

The Automate Support platform, including the dashboard, widget code, documentation, brand, and any underlying software, is owned by us. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your subscription is active. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute parts of the platform outside what the service explicitly allows.

7. AI-generated responses

Chatbot responses are generated by AI models based on the content you provide. AI can make mistakes, hallucinate facts, or give answers that are confidently wrong. You are responsible for what your chatbot says to your customers — review your knowledge base, test the bot, and consider what fallback you want for sensitive topics. Automate Supportis not liable for damages arising from a chatbot's output.

8. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may take parts of the service offline for scheduled maintenance and will try to do so outside Australian business hours. We may also depend on third-party services (Google Cloud, Google AI, Stripe) whose outages can affect ours.

9. Termination

You can close your account at any time from your account settings. We can terminate your account if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or use the service in a way that causes risk to us or to other customers. On termination, your data may be deleted after 30 days. If we terminate without cause, we'll refund any unused portion of your subscription.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Automate Support's total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be lawfully excluded.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Automate Support against claims arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms, your content, or your violation of someone else's rights (including intellectual property and privacy rights).

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to active customers at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of New South Wales.
